What's New At Fauna Vintage!

Hello Lovelies!

Lots and lots of NEW things brewing over here at Fauna Vintage! I am so excited, I can't even tell you.

First... There's THIS here blog you are reading. I am very new to the blogosphere, and so far I am loving it! I can't wait to share all my of my current preoccupations & obsessions, style inspirations, projects, crafts, and whatever else catches my fancy!  I may even convince my amazingly stylish & crafty lady friends to guest blog. It's going to be amazing, you'll see!

Secondly, and super super awesomely... The Fauna Vintage store is making a COME BACK! 

I'm getting ready to launch the new Etsy store. We've got amazing inventory, and amazing models. I have photo-shoots set-up for next week... and then it's go time. STAY TUNED for that!

...And THIRD... I'm getting ready to launch Fauna Handmade!!! My own line of hand made accessories and clothing. I think you are going to love it!

Style Spotlight: Anna Karina

 

Anna Karina is an actress and model known as the muse of Jean -Luc Godard.

Leaving behind a tumultuous childhood, Anna Karina arrived in Paris by way of Holland in 1958. She was discovered while sitting in a parisian cafe and immediately began modeling for the likes of Pierre Cardin and Coco Chanel. She began acting a year later (1959) in commercials and small bit-parts. 

It was in a Palmolive add that Godard first spotted her. After some reluctance she began staring in his films. Most notably: Le Petite Soldat, Une femme est une femme (during the filming Godard and Karina were married), and Vivre sa vie. She won the best actress award at the berlin film festival for Une femme est une femme. 

She divorced Godard in 1967, but went on to make many more films. She even maintained a successful singing career with hits written for her by Serge Gainsbourg!

Her French New Wave style, perfectly mussed hair, dramatic smokey eyeliner, and striking beauty make her perfect for this week's style spotlight...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

How I love thee..

I have always been completely obsessed with tights in bold colors and prints paired with shoes and clothing in an unexpected way.

I don't know how you feel, but by the time January rolls around, I've pretty much exhausted my Jeans, boots, and blouse/sweater combinations... Time for FUN with tights and leggings!
